Poetry
The power of poetry lies in its ability to express complex emotions and deep understanding of the world in a creative, engaging and memorable way. Poetry can evoke a wide range of emotions, including joy, sadness, nostalgia, love, and anger. It can inspire and motivate, challenge and critique, and connect people across cultural and linguistic differences. Poetry also invites readers and listeners to reflect on their own experiences and perspectives, offering insight and new ways of seeing the world.
Let It Go
So much unnecessary pain and animosity
Had manifested on the inside of me
So much unnecessary time invested
I fed into the negative energy
I should have rejected it
Be it, it was coming from people
That really don't matter to me
So why care what they think about me
Why do I hold on
Why do I cling so tightly
To the drama seen and unseen
Why can't I let go
Of that which is eating at my soul
Today I say no more
No more
I repeat myself to convince myself
I'm taking back all control
I have to let it go
It's been time to move on
I'm leaving all of my worries in this poem
Childhood Trauma
Childhood trauma, scars that run deep,
Memories that never truly sleep,
A heavy burden to bear alone,
A weight that feels like an ancient stone
The moments etched into our minds,
The pain and fear we couldn't leave behind,
A life forever changed by one event,
A loss of innocence, a sense of descent
The nightmares that still haunt us now,
Amidst the darkness we still somehow,
Find hope and solace in the light,
And try to heal from that fateful night
So let us speak our truth and share our pain,
Find comfort in those who feel the same,
For in our struggles, we can still find,
The strength to leave the past behind.
Childhood trauma, scars that should never be,
But in our journeys, we will break free,
And find a life filled with love and grace,
As we learn to find peace in this difficult place
Rise
Women, rise up from the ground,
Take back your power, let your voices resound,
Break out of the chains that once held you down,
And wear your crown, let your confidence astound
Shatter every glass ceiling that you see,
Let no one hold you back, let your dreams be free,
You are strong, you are fierce, you are queen,
Let your light shine, let your power be seen
Don't let anyone tell you what you can't do,
You can be anything, and that's the truth,
Your potential is limitless, your worth is grand,
Stand tall, be proud, take hold of your hand
Embrace your flaws, your uniqueness and your strengths,
And don't be afraid to take up space and make a difference,
For you are the light that brightens up the world,
Women empowerment, oh, the beauty it unfurls
So, sisters, stand together and raise your voice,
Let's make the world a better place, let's make a choice,
To support and uplift each other every day,
For in unity, we'll flourish, we'll pave the way
Women empowerment, it's more than just a word,
It's a movement, a revolution, a call to be heard,
So let us rise, let us lead, let us take charge,
And let our legacy be one of love and courage

It’s hard being a woman,
In a world designed for men,
Constantly told to blend in,
But we’re destined to stand out again.
Our bodies are scrutinized,
Our minds often disregarded,
We’re expected to be sweet and kind,
Until our voices are hoarse and exhausted.
It’s hard being a woman,
Where the clock ticks faster than for men,
We’re expected to do it all,
And still have strength to start again.
We face inequality and bias,
In every aspect of our lives,
And when we stand up for ourselves,
They tell us we’re causing strife.
It’s hard being a woman,
But it’s time to make some change,
To speak out and demand equality,
To break free from society's range.
We deserve to be treated fairly,
To be given the respect we’re due,
So let’s band together and unite,
To create a better world for me and you.
It’s hard being a woman,
But we’ve got this, all the same,
We’ll stand tall and fight for our rights,
And prove that we’re not just a name.

Poetry is so powerful because it has the ability to evoke strong emotions and connect to the human experience on a deeper level. It uses language in a creative and artistic way, which can be more impactful than simply stating facts or information. Poems also often have multiple layers of meaning, allowing readers to interpret and relate to them in their own personal way. Additionally, poetry can be a way to express complex emotions or ideas in a condensed and concise form, making it more memorable and powerful.
